Speaking up to commit to ending AIDS in children and adolescents. New Translated Advocacy Messages
Supporting children and adolescents affected by HIV is critical to realizing their rights and ending AIDS. To this end, The Coalition of Children affected by AIDS proudly shares its advocacy messages. These are intended to support anyone to advocate, at any level. To help us all to speak coherently and with one strong voice.
We now have these advocacy messages available in English, French, Portuguese and Swahili, so that more members of our international community can access and utilise these important messages.
We know that the HIV response is off track. None of the 2020 fast track targets for children and adolescents were met. And, COVID-19 has impacted the hard-won progress on all the progress made. We have the evidence; we know what works. What we need now are the resources and political will to deliver solutions at scale.
We encourage you to share the advocacy messages and the translated versions, available in French, Portuguese and Swahili with your advocacy colleagues and peers. Let us all with renewed efforts, speak up for children and adolescents affected by HIV. You can download our social media toolkit to help spread these important messages further.
We also urge you join the Coalition. We are opening out our membership to donors, policy makers, implementers, activists, and researchers committed to children and adolescents affected by HIV. It’s a great way to receive global updates on the latest evidence, advocacy materials and opportunities. Find out more at www.childrenandHIV.org and sign up to our Advocacy Network.
