In honor of World AIDS Day, and this year’s theme of “Know Your Status,” the Coalition asked each of our Ambassadors why it is so important for people to know their status and what they think may be standing in the way.
Our first discussion took place with Jacquelyne Alesi, who spoke about her own experience as well as the challenges that exist for young people.
In the second post, we spoke with Clara Banya. Clara discusses not only finding out about her own status, but also determining that of her daughter. She also spoke about the challenges in disclosing her daughter’s status to her.
In the final blog post in the series, we spoke to Dudu Dlamini, who highlighted the challenges in facing sex workers and their children in getting tested.
